Pastor Gabriel Addo-Asante attended children’s Sunday school (COP) at a very young age through an auntie who was a staunch member of her local church. He received both Holy Ghost and water baptism in 1990.
Pastor Addo became an assistant children’s Sunday school teacher after graduating from Sunday school. He later became an assistant Witness Movement leader at his local church in Ghana at a very young age. He was a regular preacher at most of the local witness movement crusades.
Pastor Addo migrated to Canada in October 2000 and has since continued in the zeal and passion for the ministry of evangelism and church planting. He became the assistant local evangelism leader at the newly established Brampton assembly in the early 2000s.
After relocating to Calgary in 2009, he was appointed the Calgary district evangelism leader from 2010 to 2013. He doubled as the Western Canada Area evangelism leader during that period until he was sent to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan as a Field Assistant.
Pastor Addo was ordained an Elder in Calgary by the late Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Owusu Bediako in 2013.
In January 2014, He and his family were sent to Saskatchewan where they planted the church in Saskatoon and assisted with the planting of the church in Regina. In 2015 he was appointed the National Evangelism Leader for the Church of Pentecost, Canada.
Pastor Addo is a visionary leader and a church planter who has a passion for soul-winning and church planting. This was noticed during his time in Saskatchewan and was called into the full-time ministry in 2017.
Pastor Addo and the family were transferred to Winnipeg, Manitoba as a Bi-Vocational minister in August 2017. During his time in Winnipeg, he worked so hard, and the lord blessed the church through his hard work and catapulted the church Winnipeg to a high level. Among such is the planting of the Brandon church which has since become a bi-vocational district. The churches planted in Saskatoon, and Regina have equally become districts with resident ministers.
Pastor Addo was appointed the first Internal Missions Coordinator in October 2021. Since this appointment, the Lord has used Pastor Addo with the guidance and leadership of Aps. Ransford Obeng Gyamfi, the national head, many new grounds for church planting have been broken. Notable among them are Sudbury in Ontario and St. John’s in Newfoundland.
Pastor Addo holds a Bachelor of Nursing Degree and had the privilege to work in all the major hospitals in Calgary, Alberta (Peter Lougheed, Foothills, Rockyview, and South Health Campus).
Pastor Addo is married to Mrs. Eva Addo-Asante, and they are blessed with four children: Joel, Jaira, Josiah, and Jael.
