Daniel Nii OKO was born in Takoradi in the western region of Ghana. Daniel has been a passionate follower and disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ since his high school days. Right from a young age, the young Daniel had an innate desire to serve God. He grew up in the Church of Pentecost and in a Godly environment. With God-gifted communication abilities – both in speaking and writing – he began serving the Lord through participating in all the Church activities, especially in the Youth ministry. He was ordained as a deacon in the Church at age of 21 in Ghana.His commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ immediately thrust him into leadership, an involvement that continued throughout his college days at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. While there, he was an active member of the PENSA-KNUST,
serving in various capacities including the prayer force of the Christian Union.

Over the years since graduating in Materials Engineering from the University in 2006 as the only candidate with First Class Honours in his year group, he has been involved in ministry in various capacities in Ghana, France, Poland, Spain, Germany, and Canada. In 2010, he earned multiple M.Sc. degrees in Energy Storage and Conversion from Universite de Picardie (France), Warsaw University of Technology (Poland), University of Cordoba (Spain), and Universite Paul Sabatier (France). In 2014, for his work in Electrocatalytic Activity of Platinum-Gold Alloy Nanoparticles for Fuel Cells and Biosensing Applications, he was awarded a Ph.D. in Energy and Materials from INRS University, Montreal, Canada. During the period 2006 to 2008, he worked in many capacities as an engineer, researcher, and Banker. He also worked as a research scientist at BOSCH GmbH, Germany in 2010. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as Science and Math Teacher at Kells Academy as well as a researcher at INRS (working on his publications). Dr. Oko also holds a Master of Art (Teaching and Learning) from McGill University, Montreal, Canada from 2017 to 2019 and a Diploma in Ministerial formation from Pentecost Theological Seminary in Wayne, USA.

Dr. Daniel Oko is a member of several professional bodies both nationally and internationally. Overseer Dr. Daniel Oko is a Professional Licensed Teacher in both Ontario and Quebec Provinces. He is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT certified) and Quebec Network of Teachers. Besides, He is also a standing member of the Electrochemical Society, Chemical Society of Canada, and American Society of Materials.

Dr. Oko has received several awards and honors both nationally and internationally. Among such awards includes Merit-based Candidate at 96th Canadian Chemistry Conference, 26th-30th May 2013, Quebec City. Energie Quebec Prestigious Ph.D. Fellowship for 2010-INRS-EMT, Canada. Merit-based European Union Erasmus Mundus master scholarship worth 42, 000 Euros, 2008. Only 20 Students were selected all over the world. Dean’s list of Excellence (College of Engineering – KNUST, Gahan) – 2004-2006 and Government of Ghana scholarship for senior high school, 1998 – 2000

He was called into the full-time ministry by the Church of Pentecost and stationed at PIWC, NY in May 2018. He was the Presiding Elder of PIWC, Montreal from January 2017 to June 2018. He was also a member of the Montreal -Ottawa district executive for two terms as well as the District

Youth Leader for two consecutive terms. During the 2021 General Council Meeting, it pleased the Lord and the Church for him to be transferred to PIWC Peel, Mississauga, Ontario to continue the glorious work of the Lord there. He is currently the district minister of PIWC Windsor. He is highly regarded for the insightful and revelatory teaching gift of God in his life. Dr. Oko is a passionate end-time revivalist. His main forte is the spiritual development, growth, and maturity of believers.

Overseer Dr. Oko has a special burden for the youth and shapes minds through imparting Godly wisdom. He connects with youngsters and enables them to channel their talents and gifts for the glory of God and becoming witnesses for Christ. Overseer Dr. Oko is also involved in strategic prayers, and revival services amid discipling, counseling, and general administration.
Overseer Dr. Oko serves the Lord as a family. He is married to beautiful Gloria, and they are blessed with four wonderful, beautiful children, Reginald, Kendella, Kelvin, and Sharon Gloria. Mrs. Gloria Oko had a calling for singing ministry even during her school days and shares the same zeal for God with Overseer Dr. Oko, assisting him in his ministry.
